The Daily Show: John Leguizamo: Will Donald Trump Get the Latino Vote?

The Daily Show: Will Donald Trump Get the Latino Vote_ John Leguizamo Hopes to God NoSource:The Daily Show with John Leguizamo.

Source:The New Democrat

“John Leguizamo is fired up about the Latino vote and their surprising sway toward Donald Trump, despite Biden’s outreach and policies on immigration. In the latest In My Opinion, he breaks down the priority issues of inflation, and Trump’s deceptions on how much he truly cares about the Latino community.”

From The Daily Show

First of all and on a personal note first and I excuse my fucking language, but I need it to make this point: What’s John Leguizamo fucking problem? All he does is talk about fucking people? Can this guy even get though a fucking sentence without fucking cussing? (I also excuse my hypocrisy)

I guess John Leguizamo getting through a sentence without cussing, would be like Donald Trump getting through a court session without falling asleep. Or getting through a sentence without lying. Or actually speaking to the questions that he’s asked. And it’s way too early for Christmas, so I guess I would be asking for too much here.

On a more serious note: I’m not Latino myself. My German name I think is a pretty good clue there. But it depends on what you mean by Latinos. Because similar with Slavs, Scandinavians, Orientals, (are we still allowed to say Oriental, or will the Political Correctness Police arrest me for that?) Latino is not a race or ethnicity in of itself.

There are Spanish Latinos who are primarily, or at least partially of Spanish heritage, even if their families migrated to Latin America before coming to America, like in John Leguizano’s case to Puerto Rico.

There are Afro-Latinos, Latinos who are of at least of some African descent.

Peru has a Japanese population, as well as a Spanish, and Peruvian-Indian population.

Mexico has Germans and Jews, as well as Arabs and Africans, and a lot of Spaniards. And of course Mexican-Indians, Aztecs, Yucas and other Mexican Indians.

And of course there are a lot of Latinos who are of West Indian descent, who also have at least some Spanish ancestry descent, which is the ethnic and racial background of a lot of Latino Americans.

My point here is that Latino or if you prefer Hispanic, in of itself is not a race or ethnicity.

But to go to John Leguizamo’s serious point about why some Latinos are supporting Donald Trump and inflation: inflation affects Latinos the same way it affects every other group in America. And I’m sure they’re tired of inflation as much as everyone else.

But the question that Latinos have to ask themselves, is the same question that every other voting bloc in America has to ask themselves: who has the better plan for America when it comes to inflation, as well as to address every other issue that America faces.

And to pick up on Mr. Leguizamo’s point about Donald Trump and inflation, Mr. Trump doesn’t have a plan either. It’s as if he didn’t even hear or understand the question that was asked to him. He was given a point blank question about inflation and his answer was: “drill, baby, drill.” Which is about energy policy, not inflation. And apparently he’s unaware that gas prices have come down since Joe Biden has been President. And we became an energy independent country under President Biden, not President Trump. We now produce more oil than we import.

The Bulwark: Tim Miller & Ross Douthat: Could a Brave GOP Have Kicked Donald Trump To The Curb?

The Bulwark: Could a Brave GOP Have Kicked Donald Trump to the Curb_ (w_ Ross Douthat) _ Bulwark PodcastSource:The Bulwark discussing whether the Republican Party could’ve stopped Donald J. Trump.

Source:The New Democrat

“Trump wins voters who don’t read The New York Times or listen to The Bulwark Podcast, and elite opposition may not be enough to defeat him. Ross Douthat joins Tim Miller for a spirited debate about what the conservative movement gave away in sacrifice to Trump on world leadership, abortion, and democracy.”

From The Bulwark

I guess what New York Times conservative columnist Ross Douthat’s point here about let’s say the populist-right (if not far-right) of the Republican Party is, if Liberals (I guess he means real Liberals and not the so-called Squad) are in favor of… then the MAGA wing of the Republican Party is against it.

So to sum this up: if the Joe Biden wing of the Democratic Party, which was once the Henry Jackson/John F. Kennedy wing of the Democratic Party, is against Russia and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, (which is now a democratic republic, unlike Russia) then MAGA is pro-Vladimir Putin and the Russian Nationalists.

If Joe Biden and the rest of the Liberal Democrats are in favor of the rule of law, then MAGA is opposed to it.

If Joe Biden and the Liberal Democrats support limited government, checks and balances, American democracy, free trade, then MAGA is against all these American liberal values, that so-called Conservative Republicans once supported, then MAGA is against it.

Imagine a political candidate announcing on the campaign trail that they’re against everything that their opponent is in favor of, without even knowing what their opponent supports or opposes and what the consequences of those positions are: “I’m against it because he’s in favor of it and I want to beat him.” That’s what Ross Douthat is basically saying here.

What Ross Douthat is basically saying here is that MAGA wants to beat the Liberal Democrats so badly and take a stand against New Haven, Manhattan, the Hampton Islands, etc, all those great liberal democratic places in America, where freedom and wealth run rampant, even if their opposition hurts America. And wile they’re doing that, they’re raising their campaign money in New Haven, Manhattan, the Hamptons, because there’s only so much campaign money to go around in West Virginia, Kentucky, Southern Ohio, and all of these MAGA enclaves.

When Olivia Nuzzi from New York Magazine, when Tim Miller from The Bulwark, and other center-right, Never-Trump Republicans call MAGA members political nihilists, they know what they’re talking about. Because it’s not about political values and what they would do if they were ever in power. But instead simply about beating the Liberals, getting into power and keeping that power indefinitely.

Michael Smerconish: Robert F. Kennedy JR. As Donald Trump’s Running Mate

Michael Smerconish: TRUMP_RFK JR_ 2024_Source:Michael Smerconish– DJT/RFKJR 2024? Why not. They’re both professional MAGA men who don’t seem to believe in the rule of law or American democracy.

Source:The New Democrat

“TRUMP/RFK JR. 2024?”

From Michael Smerconish

“Robert F. Kennedy Jr. chose tech attorney and entrepreneur Nicole Shanahan to be his running mate.

Shanahan, who has never run for office before, donated the maximum amount to Kennedy’s campaign and $4 million to the chief super PAC backing his bid to air a retro-themed Super Bowl commercial. In addition to backing American Values 2024, she also gave $500,000 to another super PAC backing Kennedy, Common Sense PAC. Both donations were made through an LLC, Planeta Management.

Kennedy said he was searching for a running mate who understood technology, government agencies’ vulnerability to corruption, the need for secure borders and an athlete.

“So that is why I’m so proud to introduce to you the next vice president of the United States, my fellow lawyer, a brilliant scientist, technologist, a fierce warrior mom, Nicole Shanahan,” Kennedy said in Oakland, California.

Shanahan was raised in Oakland by a mother who was a Chinese immigrant and a white American father who suffered from mental illness. Tickets for the announcement event were sold for $2, $24 or $500.

Kennedy has been searching for a vice presidential candidate to join his independent bid since quitting the Democratic Party primary last October. The short list was wide-ranging, including NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers, motivational speaker Tony Robbins, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and ex-Democratic Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard.

Now that he’s named the 38-year-old Shanahan as his running mate, the campaign can begin collecting ballot access signatures in about 20 more states.

Shanahan said she’s passionate about fighting chronic disease in the U.S. by eliminating toxins in food and water and electromagnetic pollution as well as doing different studies on pharmaceuticals and vaccines.

“There is only one candidate who takes the chronic disease epidemic seriously, and it is Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and I will be his ally,” Shanahan said.

Shanahan said Kennedy will be focused on corruption in government agencies while she applies her skills as a technologist to the issue.

Shanahan, who is also a fellow at the Stanford Center for Legal Informatics, has a long history of political giving, backing progressive California Rep. Ro Khanna’s campaigns as well as making a contribution to President Joe Biden and a five-figure donation to the Democratic National Committee in 2020 after supporting Marianne Williamson’s long-shot bid during the primary. The tech entrepreneur also donated to Hillary Clinton’s campaign in 2016.

Kennedy said Shanahan has also now left the Democratic Party. As independents, they will face Biden and former President Donald Trump, the presumptive major party nominees, in the November general election.

But since Kennedy and Shanahan are both California residents, they will now be unable to accept California’s 54 electoral college votes should they win the state in November unless one of them moves his or her residency to another state, according to the Constitution’s 12th Amendment.

As Kennedy’s team was announcing his running mate, Democrats and allied groups also seized on Kennedy’s big day.

The DNC paid for a mobile billboard highlighting a mega donor, Tim Mellon, who has donated to both the super PACs supporting Kennedy and Trump. Protesters handed out fliers across the street featuring a QR code that went to a website that read, “Kennedy for Measles,” pointing out the dangers of his anti-vaccine positions. And Clear Cho ice PAC, a newly formed group to oppose third party candidates, launched a negative website that calls Kennedy’s candidacy “dangerous” and asks voters to “Reject RFK. Stop Donald Trump.”

“RFK Jr. has no path to victory, and his vice presidential selection does nothing to change that,” Pete Kavanaugh, co-founder of Clear Choice PAC, said in a statement.

Shanahan’s wealth and ability to financially support the campaign’s operations — including gathering petition signatures to get on the ballot and potential litigation — are advantageous to the Kennedy ticket. Kennedy denied in a News Nation interview that Shanahan’s wealth was a factor in his decision making.

Shanahan was last in national headlines when The Wall Street Journal reported that she had an affair with Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla who was also being courted for a donation by American Values. Both she and Musk denied the affair, which allegedly took place in 2021. She and her then-husband, Google co-founder Sergey Brin, divorced. The Journal reported that Brin also asked his advisers to sell his personal investments in Musk’s companies.

In 2019, Shanahan founded Bia-Echo, a nonprofit foundation. Its mission includes “reproductive longevity & equality, criminal justice reform and a healthy & livable planet,” according to its website.

Bia-Echo Foundation has only ever had one donor, according to three years of financial disclosure forms: Brin. The forms disclosed that Brin made his eight-figure donation through shares of Alphabet, the parent company of Google, in 2020. The following year, his contribution came as Tesla shares valued at about $25 million. Brin did not make a donation in 2022.

In a lengthy profile with People Magazine, Shanahan again denied the affair with Musk and said the two instead talked about autism treatments for Shanahan and Brin’s young daughter, Echo. Shanahan said she frequently has conversations like this in the tech world. “Elon was another person in this group of people. There’s almost this generational ecosystem and it’s a community. You run ideas past each other and you ask questions,” she told the magazine.

Shanahan added finding a cure to autism to Bia-Echo’s work, in the People interview. She said she spends 60 percent of her time researching autism.

“I am hopeful of helping my daughter overcome her autism, whatever that might look like, whether it be in five years not having a diagnosis anymore, or having all of the tools to navigate the challenges that her diagnosis has produced in her life,” Shanahan said.

In addition to scientists and doctors, Shanahan said she learns about autism interventions “with greater accuracy than any published medical paper” from mothers raising autistic children. Kennedy has shared a similar sentiment about mothers when describing how he became skeptical of vaccine safety.

Kennedy has falsely claimed that there is a link between mercury content in vaccines and disease, including autism, publishing a book on the subject and starting a nonprofit that engages in litigation on behalf of people who believe they’ve been injured by a vaccine.

Advocacy against vaccines and vaccine mandates following the Covid-19 pandemic have bolstered Kennedy’s public profile in recent years and given a boost to his grassroots campaign strategy.

“I want her to represent the mothers who struggle to protect their children from the bad chemicals, the pharmaceuticals and bad food,” Kennedy said of Shanahan to great applause from the crowd. “As vice president, she will stand between them and Big Ag, Big Pharma, the chemical industry, the processed food industry, and the government regulators who are colluding to poison our kids for profit.”

Despite Bia-Echo’s mission statement, its financial disclosures show the foundation has invested more in financial assets than in grant giving.

In 2022, the latest available year in online records, Bia-Echo reported owning $13.7 million in U.S. and state government securities and $12.2 million in corporate stocks and bonds. It reported $0 in grants, gifts or contributions to other organizations.”

POLITICO: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. picks tech entrepreneur Nicole Shanahan as his vice presidentSource:POLITICO– Independent MAGA presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy JR. running mate Nicole Shanahan.

From POLITICO

“As an at best Independent Democrat at this point, whose not in love with the Democratic Party politically, or really anything else, for that matter, I would love to see Robert F. Kennedy JR. run for President as a Libertarian. Why? Because it would just confirm what I, what this blog, and what a lot of other Democrats believe about RFK JR. that he’s simply a MAGA man, who at the very least doesn’t want Joe Biden to be reelected and perhaps even wants Donald Trump back in The White House, where all their MAGA conspiracy theories and avenues to financially profit for them, would open up.”

From The New Democrat

If Bob Kennedy JR. was anti-Trump, he wouldn’t spend all of his opposition campaigning against President Joe Biden. U.S. Representative Dean Phillips ran against the President in the Democratic primaries. Former Democrat and 2020 presidential candidate Andrew Yang said that the Democratic Party needed to nominate someone other than Joe Biden for President in 2024. But there’s a big difference here. Both Representative Phillips and Mr. Yang are going to vote for the President in the fall. And would probably speak in favor of him, if they were called to do that.

Unlike Bob Kennedy, who once said that he would be honored to be Donald Trump’s vice presidential nominee and has flirted with running for President of the Libertarian Party, which are now filled with Libertarian populists, who are least are leaning towards Donald Trump because they share the same conspiracy theories and hatred for the “deep state.” Kennedy is simply running for President to take votes away from President Biden and make it easier for Mr. Trump to win the election in November.

So if you are the Democratic National Committee, the Biden Campaign, and the Never-Trump wing of the Republican Party, who are establishment Conservative Republicans, like The Bulwark, The Lincoln Project, groups like that, your mission (if you choose to accept it) is to define Bob Kennedy, before Kennedy can define himself.

The Democrats and what’s left of the center-right of the Republican Party, need to define Kennedy as the man whose opposed to all vaccines, who thinks the Jan 6. rioters are American patriots and are now political hostages, that Russia is really our friend and not enemy, etc. Before Kennedy can run like left-winger whose so far-left, that he can make Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Jill Stein, as well as “The Squad” in the House, look like flaming moderates. And he would run that far-left-wing campaign, if he even got on enough ballots, just to hurt President Biden and get Donald Trump back in The White House.

Yahoo News: Judge Warns Donald Trump: Show Up To Manhattan Hush Money Trial Each Day or There Will Be An Arrest

Yahoo News: Judge Warns Donald Trump: Show up to Manhattan Hush Money Trial Each Day or _There Will Be An Arrest_Source:NBC News showing Defendant Don in the courtroom.

Source:The New Democrat

“Former President Donald Trump can continue showing up for his criminal trial in Manhattan — or, potentially, go straight to jail.

That was Judge Juan Merchan’s warning to the Republican candidate on Monday, NBC News reported, as jury selection continues in a case where prosecutors allege Trump conspired to falsify business records, covering up a $130,000 payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels on the eve of the 2016 election.

As NBC News noted, the warning is a standard reminder for criminal defendants. But it is the first time the warning has ever been delivered to a former U.S. president.

Katie Phang, a legal analyst with MSNBC, reported that Trump acknowledged his right and responsibility to attend the trial in an exchange with Merchan (who he has repeatedly attacked on Truth Social). Trump also promised to behave himself.

“If you disrupt the proceedings, you can be excluded from the courtroom and committed to jail based on your conduct and the trial will continue on in your absence,” Merchan told Trump, per a transcript that Phang posted on X. “If you do not show up, there will be an arrest,” the judge continued. “Do you understand?”

From Yahoo News

“Merchan is talking about Trump’s right to be present in court — known as Parker admonitions.

Merchan is talking directly to the former president for the first time all day, issuing a stark warning that if he fails to show up for trial without a reason a warrant will be issued for his arrest.

The N.Y. courts provide a script for these which is below:

SHOW”

From NBC News

As my colleague Fred Schneider mentioned earlier today:

“This might sound harsh. Well, perhaps just to supporters of Donald J. Trump. And I don’t want to compare Mr. Trump to any real-life dictator, because that might actually be too harsh. But imagine a dictator whose been in power for 20 years for all sorts of reasons. And the new democratically elected government that comes to power decides to prosecute the former dictator of their country. I don’t pretend to be a mindreader and I’ve never even met Donald J. Trump in real-life. But I’m guessing from everything that I know about this man, that must be how he’s feeling right now and what he’s going through.”

From The New Democrat

I think we now know what’s going to happen if Donald Trump consistently violates Judge Juan Merchan’s gag order. DJT will be sent to jail, if he doesn’t behave himself and act like an adult about this case, in and outside of the courtroom. Because if Judge Merchan doesn’t enforce his own orders and rules here, he’s going to look like a complete weakling and look like that weakling in front of a live, national audience.

“CNN’s Kara Scannell describes Donald Trump’s demeanor in court as his criminal hush money trial gets underway.”

From CNN

This might sound harsh. But I’m guessing from everything that I know about this man, that must be how he’s feeling right now and what he’s going through.

When Donald Trump because President of the United States in 2017, he must have felt he would be untouchable for the rest of his life. He even flirted with the idea of running for President a 3rd time, at least if he was reelected in 2020. And just staying on as President after his lost in 2020 and his term expired in January 2021. And the only reason that didn’t happen, is because the government simply wouldn’t allow for it. Once your term expires in our government, you are out of office. And you either leave your office and the building voluntarily, or you are escorted out by Federal officials.

But because of our great, federal, liberal democratic, constitutional system that we have in America, no one man or woman is above the law in this country. You commit felonies in this country, you get charged and prosecuted for them and then later brought to trial. Unless you work out a plea bargain with the prosecution or plead guilty.

So right now in that Manhattan court room, Donald J. Trump even though he was once President of the United States, is now being treated like any other criminal defendant in New York. And it must be a real humanizing experience for him.

Karen F. Agnifilo: ‘Donald Trump GETS STUNNED by Latest Development in CRIMINAL TRIAL’

Meidas Touch: Donald Trump GETS STUNNED by Latest Development in CRIMINAL TRIALSource:Meidas Touch– left to right: Manhattan, New York criminal Judge Juan Merchan & Defendant Don.

Source:The New Democrat

“Michael Popok and Karen Friedman Agnifilo break down all the recent developments with just a few days to go before Trump is On Trial in NY next week, including a key Trump witness being sent off to prison already; and Trump losing 3X this week in his efforts to stop the trial from starting.”

From the Meidas Touch

“CNN legal analyst Karen Friedman Agnifilo describes the prosecution team inside the courtroom where former President Trump is being arraigned.”

From CNN

The Meidas Touch video was filmed yesterday. It’s obviously Friday right now (for anyone who doesn’t have a calendar on them) and Donald J. Trump hasn’t even filed an appeal to the New York State Court of Appeals or U.S. Supreme Court about his so-called presidential immunity claim. And again, I’m not a lawyer, but it really looks like Donald Trump is going to trial in 3 days starting with jury selection, which will probably take all of next week and perhaps the following week as well.

I’m going to respond to Karen Friedman Agnifilo’s argument about this case being the most serious of the 4 criminal cases against DJT and then I’m going to give you my theory about what his defense might be.

She makes a good point. Without the hush money payment and attempt to cover that payment off to prevent Independent voters and urban and suburban Republican voters who may have voted for him in 2016, but not in 2020 (and I doubt they’ll vote for him in 2024 as well, I think we’re already seeing evidence of that with Nikki Haley’s voters. But that’s a different discussion) but without the hush money payment to Stormy Daniels, I think that affair gets out. And you could argue that would’ve cost Donald Trump the 2016 election, because those female voters that would’ve voted for him, at the very least wouldn’t vote for anyone that year. Or perhaps write someone in instead.

The Stormy Daniels affair getting out right before the 2016 election, alone could’ve save the United States of America, from Donald Trump, quite frankly. And these last 8 years would be a lot different and you wouldn’t see all of these trials against them, with one of the reasons being that all of these lawyers and prosecutors are simply trying to defend America, against Donald Trump and keep him out of The White House all together.

Now here’s my theory for DJT’s possible strategy to get past the Manhattan trial:

He pleads guilty, even to the felonies, in exchange for probation and perhaps a large fine. And he does that before all the evidence about the affair that he had, his attempt to cover it up, and interfere with the 2016 election, simply to save his political and legal tail. (To put it mildly)

If he puts admission of guilt on the table, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and Judge Juan Merchan, would have to at least consider that offer. I would take it, but only if Donald Trump allocutes to all the felonies that he’s being charged with. At least the business fraud and the campaign finance violations and explains under oath why he committed these crimes. But that’s just my theory and again, I’m not a lawyer.

The Bulwark: ‘George Conway Explains: Donald Trump’s LEGAL TURMOIL Begins Next Week, All Thanks to Stormy!’

The Bulwark: George Conway Explains_ Trump’s LEGAL TURMOIL Begins Next Week, All Thanks to Stormy! ⚡🎯🔥Source:The Bulwark with Sarah Longwell & George Conway.

“The Trump legal news just keeps coming. Judge Cannon denied Trump’s motion to dismiss, but Jack Smith is still in a bind. The election interference criminal trial against Trump kicks off on Monday in New York. Don’t worry — George Conway will explain it all to Sarah Longwell (and you!).”

From The Bulwark

“Daniels, who has claimed that she slept with former President Donald Trump in 2006, is expected to be a key witness when the hush money case goes to trial.

Adult film star Stormy Daniels detailed in a documentary released this week how she has faced increasingly violent threats following former President Donald Trump’s indictment last year on charges related to hush money payments that involved her.

Daniels, in the documentary “Stormy,” described how her life was transformed in 2018 when she publicly claimed she’d had sex with Trump more than a decade ago. It was reshaped again in March 2023, she said, when Trump was accused of falsifying business records surrounding payments made to her in 2016. Trump has pleaded not guilty, and he has denied that he slept with Daniels.

After the indictment, Daniels said, former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen texted her to express his fear for her safety. Her address was soon leaked online.

Daniels, who is passionate about horses, recalled an incident at her home that involved someone trying to draw out a horse she owns in hope that she would come outside.

“They shot him with the rubber bullet,” Daniels said.

The horse survived but still had marks from where it was shot.

Daniels also received threats on social media, with users saying “hope you die b—-,” as well as message telling her to kill herself and one saying she “will die and be forgotten,” along with a slew of vulgar insults and obscenities. She has previously detailed some of the threats lobbed at her.

“The justice system failed me,” she said in the documentary, which is streaming on NBC’s streaming service Peacock. “It has absolutely failed me in every single way.”

Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, was no stranger to threats before the indictment. She said she feared for her safety and that of her family when she started speaking out against Trump.

“I was completely sure that I was going to die,” she said.

Daniels added that while she was on a performance tour, she purposely limited her visits home to maintain a sense of normalcy for her daughter.

“I can’t be home for more than 24 hours because then press parks in my f—— front yard and she can’t ride her bike,” Daniels said in video included in the documentary.

“I have to stay away from her,” she added.

Daniels is expected to testify in Trump’s hush money trial, which could start in mid-April. A judge recently rebuffed Trump’s efforts to keep her and Cohen from taking the stand for the prosecution.

Trump faces criminal charges in three other cases, none of which have trial start dates.”

From NBC News

Sometimes I really Like NBC News. Not so much MSNBC, especially their left-wing commentators/political activists like Rachel Maddow, Chris Hayes. (Unfortunately just to name a few) Even though I do like Stephanie Ruhle, Katy Tur, Andrea Mitchell, and their legal affairs correspondent Lisa Rubin, but their hard news reporting from their correspondents, like Megan Lebowitz and many others, especially over at the network news division, is still very good.

It took more than a half of this Bulwark video to finally get into what’s really the Manhattan and perhaps all of New York City’s, 2016 election interference case.

Yes, Donald Trump paid Stephanie Clifford (perhaps better known as Stormy Daniels) 100,000 dollars to not reveal the affair that they had with each other 10 years earlier, when Donald’s wife Melania, was pregnant with his son Barron.

And of course in September and October of 16, Donald Trump was running for President against Hillary Clinton. He was already bleeding support and voters to Hillary (at least according to the polling) with women. Including Republican women, at least in the cities and suburbs. And apparently Stormy told Donald and his then lawyer Michael Cohen, that she’s going to release their past affair to the public, right before the election in November. Trump and company obviously didn’t want that to happen, which is why he paid her off to keep her quiet.

Yes, Donald Trump paid Stormy Daniels 100 grand not to reveal their affair. And that’s hush money. And yes, DJT cheated on his wife while she was pregnant with his son. But he’s not being charged for adultery or even hush money. He’s being charged with filing false business records in New York relating to this payment, as well as not reporting this campaign contribution that he made to his campaign, to keep Stormy Daniels quiet in this case and not cost himself more voters. Which is why this is an election interference case.

Since this case broke in the spring of 2018, Donald Trump first denied it and then lied about it, then basically admitted to not just the affair, but the payment to her to keep her quiet. But now he’s treating her like a whore, gold digger, etc. A “whore” and “gold digger” that he committed adultery with, while his wife was pregnant with his son, that she can now help to prove that he’s a criminal and make him a convicted criminal.

The Bulwark: Tim Miller: ‘Kari Lake Tape EXPOSES Her Lies!’ With Olivia Nuzzi

The Bulwark: Kari Lake Tape EXPOSES Her Lies! (w_ Olivia Nuzzi) _ Bulwark PodcastSource:The Bulwark talking about Arizona career political candidate Kari Lake. She’s a career political candidate, because she’s never gotten elected to anything. Which never stops her from running for office.

Source:The New Democrat

“Kari Lake can deliver a good performance, but she’s not really a true believer, as her flip on the Arizona abortion law shows. Plus, the normal part of life near the border, the specter of violence at MAGA rallies, and the grueling but necessary function of covering Trump for the long haul. Olivia Nuzzi joins Tim Miller on The Bulwark Podcast.”

From The Bulwark

“One thousand nine hundred and fifty-four miles, from the Pacific to the Gulf, where people live and work. Where they commute between Mexico and the United States like they commute between New Jersey and New York, passing through a security checkpoint as they would a toll outside the Holland Tunnel. Where you may look in the distance to mountains and valleys and ask where one country ends and the other begins. Where you may start to wonder about the nature of such distinctions, about the nature of separateness, about the nature of self, about borders between men, between man and state, between civilization and disorder. Where you may appreciate just how young a species we are and how tribal. If you have never stood on the banks of the Rio Grande in Texas or the Colorado River in Arizona, if you have never come face-to-face with the wall, 30 feet high, that looms multiples higher in our national psyche, if you have never put your hand through its steel tines and reached into Mexico, if you have never thrown away your bubble gum in Juárez because you cannot chew gum and walk into the United States at the same time, per the signage at Customs, the boundary between countries can seem ominous and alien, an uninhabitable space somewhere between the end of America and the end of the earth.

And then you get there and there’s a Starbucks…

From New York Magazine

I sort gotten into this yesterday about whether or not Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (MAGA, Georgia) believes in her own political propaganda, or is she simply a political conwoman:

“Or, MTG is smart enough to know that America, or at least rural Georgia which is where most of her House district is, even though it’s just west of Atlanta, but it goes up about 100 miles or so, near Athens, is full of escaped mental patients and 1st grade dropouts. And these folks are the perfect pickings (to use a Southern phrase) for a political conwoman like Marjorie Taylor Greene. And she simply uses them to gain power and stay in power.

This is my theory about Arizona MAGA career political candidate (whose never gotten elected to anything) Kari Lake, because even Kari is now intelligent enough to see that her MAGA style of politics, doesn’t work in statewide Arizona and she’s already moderating there.

Moscow Marg could be the Georgia version of the political conwoman as well. Or, she could be escaped mental patient, who dropped out of the 1st grade. Perhaps kicked out because she’s so damn crazy. But I think my theory that I laid out is correct here.”

From The New Democrat

I don’t know for a fact if Marjorie T. Greene is a political conwoman, or she’s so stupid and crazy that she consistently walks into doors because she forgets to open the door and so crazy that she not only believes that Donald J. Trump not only won the 2020 presidential election, but Vladimir Putin is a great and honest man.

But there’s plenty of evidence to suggest that Kari Lake is the political version of a used car saleswoman. Who can convince people that a 1978 Ford Pinto, is not only worth 20,000 dollars, but it’s a better car than a brand new Cadillac. And she’s simply a political player who saw Donald Trump get elected to The White House in 2016 and created this MAGA movement and she believes that she can politically piggyback on that and get herself into statewide political office in Arizona.

Kari has already flipped on 1864 abortion law where she’s politically smart enough to know that she’s not running for the U.S. Senate in West Virginia, but Arizona. Which is now not just a political swing state, but it leans Democrat, at least when it’s a Democrat versus a MAGA member. And, that this law is very unpopular in Arizona. But add to that, she can’t win statewide in Arizona, with just Arizona rednecks (to put it bluntly) and she needs urban and suburban voters in Arizona, where most of the 7 million Arizonans live. And she can’t run a West Virginia statewide style of political campaign in Arizona and expect to win this election.

As far as abortion and the Republican Party: to sort of pick up on Olivia Nuzzi’s line about it being the dog that caught the car for them politically, I would put it that it’s more like suicidal person on the highway, begging people to run them over and even holding sign up saying: “Please hit me.” The more that Republicans run on it in swing states and swing districts, the more they’re going to lose. And even Kari Lake whose a two-time statewide loser in Arizona (and has even admitted that she’s lied about her election claims) knows all of this.

Inside Edition: Looking Back at OJ Simpson & The ‘Trial of The Century’

Inside Edition: Looking Back at OJ Simpson and the 'Trial of the Century'Source:Inside Edition with a piece about The Trial of The 20th Century.

Source:The New Democrat

“O.J. Simpson’s trial for the 1994 murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman riveted Americans. Inside Edition looks back on the murder and the trial, as well as what came after the former NFL star was acquitted.”

From Inside Edition

I don’t think the prosecution could rest its case on the Ford Bronco chase. But that chase alone laid out so much personal guilt that O.J. Simpson must have felt about the double murders of his ex-wife Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman who tried to save her from being murdered. And then all the money that O.J. had on him obviously trying to get out of the country and avoid being arrested and then later prosecuted and convicted.

Just to give you a little personal background about myself in this case: I was 17 at this point and on summer vacation in Delaware with my family when this case broke. And I think I was looking forward to seeing game 3 or 4 of the 1994 NBA Finals between the Houston Rockets and New York Knicks, that NBC Sports had the coverage of. Until NBC News with Tom Brokaw broke in (this was before MSNBC) and NBC just went with this story with News covering instead of Sports. And the championship basketball game was pushed aside in favor of a tabloid true crime story. Which is another story in of itself.

Before the double murders, I wouldn’t say I was a fan of O.J. Simpson, but I always saw him as tall, good looking, funny man, who was also a solid NFL analyst for NBC Sports and then later ABC’s Monday Night Football. And saw him as an excellent action/comedy actor in The Naked Gun and the commercials that he did. So I wasn’t one of those people who just purely hated the man and was thinking: “We finally got the nigger!” or whatever.

But other than delivering not just a confession, but a full confession and not just admitting to your murders, but exactly how you carried them out and laying the details that only the murderer could know and of course video recording your murders, I don’t see how O.J Simpson could possibly look more guilty. Means, motive, opportunity, no alibi, his blood and DNA all over the crime scene, his bloody hand. I mean that jury literally saved his life, even though he was obviously guilty of both murders.

Jesse Dollemore: Marjorie T. Greene: ‘If I Had it My Way” The Insurrection Would Have Been Successful!!!’

Jesse Dollemore: Marjorie Taylor Greene Says _If I Had it My Way_ the Insurrection Would Have Been Successful!!!Source:Jesse Dollemore talking about U.S. Representative Marjorie T. Greene (MAGA, Georgia)

Source:The New Democrat

“Jesse talks about a radical statement made at a voter town hall hosted by Marjorie Taylor Greene about the insurrection and preventing Joe Biden from becoming the rightfully elected President of the United States.”

From Jesse Dollemore

Just in the off chance that Jesse Dollemore is giving Representative Marjorie T. Greene too much credit (if you think being a complete idiot is like a reward or something) for being the complete idiot that she could very well be, I have an alternative theory here. I mean, I’ve never seen a head examination of her, or see her score on an IQ test. But that might just be one endless nightmare too many for me. Blogging about MAGA on almost a daily basis, is all the nightmares that I can handle right now.

But what I would like to do here is present an alternative theory for why MTG sounds as crazy and stupid as she does, at least, in public. Who knows, in private perhaps she speaks 5 different languages, (and I’m not talking about 5 different versions of Redneck) while she’s working on cures for both cancer and AIDS. Maybe George Santos is her partner in that. Or, she could be someone who consistently trips over her own two feet because the accidentally ties her shoes together and misspells her own name on her paperwork, etc.

But before I give you my alternative theory for why Moscow Marg (as former Republican Representative Ken Buck calls her) talks and acts they way that she does, I’ll tell you what I mean when I’m talking about complete idiot and nut, at least in the political sense.

When I’m talking about a political idiot, I’m talking about someone who sounds like they’ve never even took an English, let alone a social studies class, when they were growing up. I mean they act and sound like they dropped out of 1st grade or something, to go join the circus. And I’m not talking about a political circus. Or, when God was passing out brains, (or whoever passes out brains) Marjorie overslept that day and accidentally went to the place where Satan was working instead and didn’t get one of the free brains that God was giving out that day.

And when I’m talking about a nut, at least in the political sense, I’m talking about someone who not only sounds like they escaped from an insane asylum, but they did that to run for office, get elected, so they wouldn’t have to do real work for a living.

And Moscow Marg could very well be a complete idiot or nut, or both. Or, she’s one of those political characters that Saturday Night Live or The Onion created, perhaps a real-life contestant on SNL’s Celebrity Jeopardy, but in real-life.

Or, MTG is smart enough to know that America, or at least rural Georgia which is where most of her House district is, even though it’s just west of Atlanta, but it goes up about 100 miles or so, near Athens, is full of escaped mental patients and 1st grade dropouts.

But I think my theory that I laid out is correct here.
