Donald J. Trump: Dr. Phil McGraw Interview

“MUST WATCH: Dr. Phil Sits Down With President Trump in Exclusive In-Depth Interview.”

From Donald J. Trump

“Trump, a recently convicted felon, told Dr. Phil that he wouldn’t rule out trying to exact “revenge” on those who he felt have wronged him.

Television host Phil McGraw—known by his stage name, Dr. Phil—sided with Donald Trump on nearly everything during an interview with the newly convicted felon that aired Thursday, calling on President Joe Biden at one point to “stop pursuing” him and saying that only “stupid” people would believe that Biden wasn’t behind his recent conviction.

In the opening minutes of his interview with Trump at Mar-a-Lago, McGraw mentioned recent comments he had made regarding Trump’s New York criminal trial and his three remaining indictments.

“I called for President Biden to stop all of this now. And of course a lot of people said, ‘Oh, he can’t stop this; it’s a state case,’” McGraw recalled. “OK, that’s an explanation for stupid people, but for people who understand how this works behind the scenes and all, I say the same thing: They need to stop this. They need to stop pursuing you.”

McGraw then lamented that “there have been so many attempts to get you off the board” since his fellow television personality announced his candidacy in 2015. He even tried to claim that, regarding one of Trump’s impeachments, “they changed the rules to try to make it high crimes and misdemeanors.” What McGraw meant by this wasn’t immediately clear.

“It seems to be never-ending,” he summarized, to Trump’s agreement.

McGraw at one point lavished praise on the former president, asking him why he continues to run for office despite the constant attacks.

“You’ve got a thick skin. You’re not one of those people who is afflicted with the need to be loved by strangers,” McGraw told Trump. “You’re a billionaire, you’ve got a great family, you’re a very dedicated father and people might not see that because you keep that kind of private.”

Regarding Trump’s conviction for falsifying business records to help his 2016 presidential campaign, McGraw took an odd stance. It is illegal, he suggested, for a co-defendant to plead to lesser charges on the condition that they provide testimony for the prosecution, even though doing so is common practice and not against the law.

“You don’t let someone that has been charged in the same case as someone else, and they made a plea deal, and said, ‘OK, I’m guilty of doing this’ because they were intimidated into doing it—the lawyer in your case…he bartered around out from 65 years of imprisonment down to three years and two years on this case… in exchange for giving them testimony against you,” McGraw said, doubting that Trump’s received a fair trial.

“That’s not supposed to come in, but it did. [David] Pecker making a deal—a non-prosecution agreement. That’s not supposed to come in, but it did. That got into the jury box. They got to hear all of that,” he said, referring to the former head of the National Enquirer’s parent company, AMI.

Within hours of the interview airing, McGraw went on CNN and made a similar argument—this time to stunned NewsNight anchor Abby Phillip, who attempted to explain how wrong he was.

“That’s kind of how a lot of these prosecutions work,” she said.

“Well, you will have to give me an example to respond to,” McGraw replied, “Because I just simply don’t agree with that.”

Trump, convicted on all 34 felony counts in New York and with prison time on the table, later told McGraw that he wouldn’t rule out trying to exact “revenge” on those who he felt have wronged him.

After McGraw told him that he doesn’t “have time to get even,” Trump acknowledged that “revenge does take time,” but added: “And sometimes revenge can be justified, Phil. I have to be honest. Sometimes it can.”

From The Daily Beast

To start on a lighter note first: the closest thing that Dr. Phil comes to making an honest statement in this “interview”, was when they were talking about why Donald Trump didn’t testify in his own defense during the hush money trial. And DJT was sort of trying to explain why he didn’t testify and Dr. Phil said: “I would’ve jumped in front of a moving car to prevent you from testifying.”

Now back to Dr. Phil’s garbage hour with Donald J. Trump.

Dr. Phil talking to Donald Trump: “Phil McGraw, aka Dr. Phil, raised eyebrows with how he described Donald Trump in an interview with the former president that aired Thursday.

“I know you got a thick skin,” McGraw told the notoriously thin-skinned presumptive GOP presidential nominee who frequently lashes out at those who attack him and, in the same sit-down, claimed revenge “can be justified.”

“You’re not one of those people that’s afflicted with the need to be loved by strangers. I get that,” McGraw added.

“I think that’s true,” replied Trump.”

From Yahoo News

I saw part of the interview where Dr. Phil makes his “thick skin” comment to Mr. Trump. And the “Good Doctor” almost had a smirk on his face as he’s making this comment. And then later in this interview he’s talking to Trump about why Trump feels the need to seek revenge on his opponents. He contradicts himself during his own so-called interview, within minutes of the show.

There’s no need to go back into history when Donald J. Trump not just had a Twitter page, but used it almost every hour (who has the time for national security briefings when you have Twitter) and generally doing that to hit back on negative things and stories that were being reported about him. Or attack people from his Twitter page for saying negative things about him, or agreeing to testify against him, etc. He’s now doing that on his Truth Social page, but with like 10% of the followers that he had on Twitter.

As far as preserving Dr. Phil’s reputation here: that went out the window when he became the Jerry Springer of psychology TV back in the 2010s and 2000s by having the craziest, most irresponsible, dumbest people, that he could possibly find in America. (Unless some, or most of his guests are just actors)

But it’s another to go from the guy who has someone on his show who just not claims to be the “Sexy Vegan”, to being at the head of the line to pay Donald Trump to kiss his ass for him on national TV. I guess Mr. Trump would use Dr. Phil’s money to help pay his own legal expenses.

Newsnight With Abby Phillip: Representative Byron Donalds On His Jim Crow Comments

CNN_ Abby Phillip Presses Rep_ Byron Donalds About His Jim Crow CommentsSource:CNN anchor Abby Phillip interviewing U.S. Representative Bryon Donalds (Republican, Florida)

Source:The New Democrat

“CNN’s Abby Phillip presses Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL), a potential vice presidential candidate for former President Donald Trump, on his comments comparing the status of Black families during the Jim Crow era to the present day.”

From CNN

“Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) was on the defensive on Wednesday as Democrats attacked him for comments he’d made the night before praising Black families under the era of racial segregation in America.

“During Jim Crow the Black family was together,” Donalds said during a Black GOP outreach event in a gentrifying part of Philadelphia on Tuesday, and criticized decades-old policies from former Presidents Dwight Eisenhower and Lyndon Johnson for promoting a culture of dependence. “During Jim Crow, more Black people were — not just conservative, because Black people always have always been conservative-minded — but more Black people voted conservatively.”

From POLITICO

From what my colleague Kire Schneider wrote about this yesterday.

“I guess they didn’t teach history where Bryon Donalds went to high school in New York City in the 1990s. If he really thinks African-Americans were better off under Jim Grow, he should get into that MAGA political time machine that wants to take the country back to the 1950s and 40s when it comes to race, ethnicity, culture, lifestyle, women’s place in the world. But go back to the 1920s instead and try to introduce himself to Jim Crow as a young, African-American man, perhaps the son, or grandson of African slaves and see if he can even survive that experience.”

From The New Democrat

Fine! Representative Donalds didn’t actually say that African-Americans were better off under Jim Crow. So he’s not a complete idiot or complete liar. Good to know.

But, especially when you are campaigning to be the leader of the MAGA movement in America vice presidential nominee and you know that a lot of his supporters (whatever the number is) are actually supporters of the Jim Crow era and oppose all of the civil rights laws that were passed to deal with the racial discrimination that African-Americans were facing under law, from their own government, why would you enter Jim Crow in a conversation, when talking about the state and history of the African-American community?

I know all about political ambition and wanting to be Vice President of the United States and becoming the frontrunner to become the next Republican nominee for President of the United States. But my question is at what cost:

What is Representative Donalds willing to give up about himself, just for a shot at Donald Trump picking him to be his Vice President?

And what happens if he doesn’t get the nomination, would all of this be worth it for him politically, if chooses to moderate in the future?

Ben Meiselas: ‘Donald Trump SCREWS UP Softball Fox Interview SO BAD they Can’t EDIT’

Meidas Touch_ Donald Trump SCREWS UP Softball Fox Interview SO BAD They Can’t EDITSource:Meidas Touch talking about Convicted Felon Don’s interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity.

Source:The New Democrat

“MeidasTouch host Ben Meiselas reports on the disastrous interview Donald Trump just gave with Sean Hannity on Fox where they fed him the answers but he still messed it up.”

From the Meidas Touch

“Former President Trump told Fox News on Wednesday that critics claiming he’d seek retribution against political opponents are “wrong,” but he would have “every right” to go after his adversaries if he is re-elected in November.

Trump sat down for an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity to discuss the state of the country and his political campaign after he was found guilty last week on 34 counts of falsifying business records in NY v. Trump.

Hannity asked the former president what he would say to people who believe he wants retribution and will use the justice system to go after his political adversaries if he returns to the White House in 2025.”

From FOX News

I guess I have a few reactions here.

If Ben Meiselas wants to work for the Biden Campaign, or the Biden White House, I’m sure they would look at his application. But I don’t think you should called yourself independent journalist, when you are replaying one presidential candidate, if not at his worst, simply having a really bad night, in Donald Trump. But then show the other presidential candidate if not at his best, certainly having a great day, in President Joe Biden. What you are really doing there is filming your own campaign commercial in favor of one candidate, at the expense of the other. Instead of acting as an independent journalist.

My second reaction here is you really see the other side of Sean Hannity and I don’t mean that as a complement. The Sean Hannity that he wants his viewers to see, is the common man on TV, fighting for Joe and Jane Average. Just an all-American guy, fighting for ordinary Americans. Or, that’s who he wants his viewers to think he is. Putting aside the facts that he lives and works in New York City and is worth 300 million dollars. (According to Celebrity Net Worth)

And while Sean Hannity is playing the populist, blue collar, warrior for traditional American values, he does this as a partisan warrior who wants to stamp out the Democratic Party and anyone on the left who and right, (for that matter) that supports Democrats and center-right Republicans.

But, in this interview with Donald Trump, the man who Sean Hannity would probably to pay to kiss his ass on national TV (even in public and in reality) who of course he wants to be back in The White House and get MAGA back into power, you see a more genuine and honest side of Sean Hannity.

Despite what Hannity’s critics might say, Sean Hannity is not a dumb man. He knows his cult leader Donald Trump is going through a horrible time right now, that he brought on himself and he doesn’t look good. He looks like an old, tired man, who needs to comb his hair, perhaps is even losing hair, who struggles to complete thoughts and struggles to focus.

Which is why you see Hannity here almost trying to boost DJT up and tell him essentially: “I need you to focus right now” on national TV. And give him softball questions like: “You don’t really want to be a dictator, even for a day, do ya?” With DJT not even able to answer that with a clear answer.

Steve Bannon: ‘There’s Nothing That Can Shut Me Up’

CSPAN: "There's Nothing That Can Shut Me Up..."Source:CSPAN showing Steve Bannon’s little press statement outside of the U.S. Circuit Court in Washington.

“Steve Bannon speaks to reporters in Washington, after being ordered by a federal judge to reporter to prison by July 1. Bannon was convicted for defying a January 6 Committee subpoena and sentenced to four months in prison. “There’s nothing that can shut me up and nothing that will shut me up. There’s not a prison built or a jail built that will ever shut me up…we’re going to win on November 5th in an amazing landslide.”

From CSPAN

“At the time, Bannon contended he did not comply because of executive privilege concerns raised by Trump and said that his former attorney had advised him not to respond to the subpoena because of the potential privilege.

Before the trial, Nichols — a Trump appointee — ordered Bannon not to tell the jury about the advice of his counsel because of binding precedent that set a legal definition of willful default on a subpoena. After his conviction, the judge sentenced Bannon to four months in prison but held off on actually imposing the ruling, concluding it was “likely” the conviction would be overturned.

Bannon’s defense subsequently appealed the conviction.

Last month, an appeals court disagreed with his arguments and ruled Bannon’s “‘advice of counsel’ defense is no defense at all.” The three-judge panel in the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals unanimously upheld the jury’s conviction and wrote the defense he sought was “unavailable under this statute.”

From CBS News

So Steve Bannon’s defense here is basically: “President Donald Trump claimed executive privilege on the conversations that I had with him about Jan. 6. That’s why I din’t comply with the House subpoena to speak in front of their Jan. 6 committee.”

The big problem that he has here (and I’m not a lawyer) and you can see why he keeps losing his appeals, is that Steve Bannon in January, 2021, didn’t work for The White House or any part of the Trump Administration. Donald Trump fired him in the summer of 2017.

Mr. Bannon was just a private citizen during the entire presidential election season of 2020 and the transition period from November, 2020 when Joe Biden was elected President of the United States, defeating President Trump, till the day that President Trump’s term expired and Joe Biden becomes President Joe Biden. And the Jan. 6 insurrection attempt happened 2 weeks before Mr. Biden is sworn in as the 46th President of the United States, succeeding President Trump.

Any rookie, criminal defense lawyer in Washington, who represents people who’ve worked in and outside of the U.S. Government, will tell you that executive privilege doesn’t apply to private citizens. Whatever you think of Steve Bannon (and I see him as far-right militant trying to overthrow the U.S. Government) he’s obviously a very intelligent man, with both a U.S. Naval and business background, who rose to the rank of Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy. He has to know that he didn’t have executive privilege here.

Besides, even if Steve Bannon is a total idiot, (and the sun never comes out in Arizona) ignorance of the law is never excuse for breaking the law. And even if he got bad legal advise and that’s the reason why he didn’t comply with his House subpoena, that gives him justification to sue his lawyer. Not ignore a Congressional subpoena.

The Source With Kaitlan Collins: ‘James Comey Says Donald Trump is ‘Begging’ For a Jail Sentence’

CNN_ James Comey Says Donald Trump is ‘Begging’ For a Jail Sentence_ Hear WhySource:CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins interviewing former FBI Director James Comey.

Source:The New Democrat

“Former FBI director James Comey weighs in on whether former president Donald Trump should receive a jail sentence after a guilty verdict in his historic hush money criminal trial.”

From CNN

At severe risk of breaking no news whatsoever: (which is not different from when CNN announces CNN Breaking News) I’m not even a lawyer, let alone a New York City lawyer. So I’m not going to predict whether or not Judge Juan Merchan will sentence Donald Trump to jail or not, or even to home confinement. But I agree with Jim Comey that Donald Trump is begging Judge Merchan to sentence him to jail.

Imagine someone whose been in prison for 40 years and is now getting paroled or their sentence is over. But they’ve been in prison for so long, never even driven a car, gotten a traditional high school education, never voted, never held a legitimate job outside of prison, and they’re scared to death of being released to the outside world. So they do everything that they can to avoid being released from prison. That’s kind of what now Convicted Felon Don is doing here, but in reverse:

“Judge, you have to send me to jail. Life’s is too scary on the outside. I keep getting sued. I’m always at risk of bankruptcy. I keep getting charged with new crimes. I need a break from this madness. Judge, send me to jail for my own good.”

Donald Trump has obviously never said what I just wrote. But, the way he keeps lying about his own case and his own guilt here and putting people who were involved in this case, lives and security at risk, by attacking them in public, sends a strong, violent message to his militants that they need to do something here to protect him. If you are Judge Juan Merchan, you have to take all of that very seriously and into account, before you impose sentence on him.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries: ‘You Better Check Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself’

CSPAN_ House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries_ _You Better Check Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself__Source:CSPAN U.S. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (Democrat, New York) giving a short but very powerful speech in response to U.S. Representative Byron Donalds (Republican, New York)

Source:The New Democrat

“Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) on Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL): “It has come to my attention that a so-called leader has made the factually inaccurate statement that Black folks were better off during Jim Crow. That’s an outlandish, outrageous, and out-of-pocket observation…How dare you make such an an ignorant observation. You better check yourself before you wreck yourself.”

From CSPAN

“So chickity-check yo’ self before you wreck yo’ self
Come on and check yo’ self before you wrickity-wreck yo’ self
So chickity-check yo’ self before you wreck yo’ self
‘Cause big dicks up yo’ ass is bad for ya health
Mic-mic-microphone check (one, two! Check it!)
Mic-mic-microphone check (one, two! Check it!)”

From hip-hopper Ice Cube.

“Jim Crow laws were a collection of state and local statutes that legalized racial segregation. Named after a Black minstrel show character, the laws—which existed for about 100 years, from the post-Civil War era until 1968—were meant to marginalize African Americans by denying them the right to vote, hold jobs, get an education or other opportunities. Those who attempted to defy Jim Crow laws often faced arrest, fines, jail sentences, violence and death.

The roots of Jim Crow laws began as early as 1865, immediately following the ratification of the 13th Amendment, which abolished slavery in the United States.

Black codes were strict local and state laws that detailed when, where and how formerly enslaved people could work, and for how much compensation. The codes appeared throughout the South as a legal way to put Black citizens into indentured servitude, to take voting rights away, to control where they lived and how they traveled and to seize children for labor purposes.

The legal system was stacked against Black citizens, with former Confederate soldiers working as police and judges, making it difficult for African Americans to win court cases and ensuring they were subject to Black codes.

These codes worked in conjunction with labor camps for the incarcerated, where prisoners were treated as enslaved people. Black offenders typically received longer sentences than their white equals, and because of the grueling work, often did not live out their entire sentence.”

From History

At risk of being called a racist by any far-leftist who happens to see this: House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries sounding all ghetto and hip hop on the U.S. House floor. Hakeem Jeffries and I are from the same generation. He’s about 5-6 years older than me and I was in high school when that song came out in 1992 and I was even moderate hip hop fan at that point. (Don’t judge a man by his German name and background) So I’m pretty familiar with this Ice Cube song and what it’s about.

I guess they didn’t teach history where Bryon Donalds went to high school in New York City in the 1990s. If he really thinks African-Americans were better off under Jim Grow, he should get into that MAGA political time machine that wants to take the country back to the 1950s and 40s when it comes to race, ethnicity, culture, lifestyle, women’s place in the world. But go back to the 1920s instead and try to introduce himself to Jim Crow as a young, African-American man, perhaps the son, or grandson of African slaves and see if he can even survive that experience.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell: ‘Supreme Court Can Police Itself

Senate Republican Leader_ Mitch McConnell_ Supreme Court Can Police Itself_ No Appeal To HeavenSource:Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (Republican, Kentucky) arguing that a very friendly U.S. Supreme Court to Republicans, can police itself.

Source:The New Democrat

“McConnell: Supreme Court Can Police Itself. No Appeal To Heaven Required. U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) delivered the following remarks today on the Senate floor regarding the Supreme Court.”

From the Senate Republican Leader

I guess there are a few points here that Minority Leader McConnell made that I feel the need to push back on.

The U.S. Supreme Court doesn’t have the sole responsibility to police itself. It can’t even fund itself. Congress has jurisdiction over the Supreme Court when it comes to both the oversight of the Court and its appropriations. Congress by statue can reform the Court and even expand it, if the Senate and the House agree to do just that and the President signs that into law.

But Mitch McConnell already knows this because he’s been in the Senate since 1985 and has been the Republican Leader since 2007, was the Assistant Majority Leader from 2003-07, was a member of the Judiciary Committee, and is also a lawyer, was a judge in Kentucky before getting elected to the Senate in 1984

But I also want to give you a hypothetical:

Imagine if then President Trump was narrowly reelected in 2020. (I know, that would’ve been a nightmare for half of the country) Let’s say he pulled out Pennsylvania and Michigan, made an amazing comeback in Georgia and Arizona, and then House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer decided to accept those results and whip the voters in place to certify the election for President Trump in Congress.

But then ANTIA or Black Lives Matter, the so-called Congressional Progressive Caucus, the so-called Squad in the House, ANTIFA, Black Lives Matter, every left-wing, militant group that you can come up with, just went nuts over that. And Joe Biden and company organized an attempted insurrection and coup attempt on Capitol Hill to prevent Congress from certifying the election result in January, 2021.

And 3 and 1/2 years later, you have a law that was used by the U.S. Department of Justice to prosecute and convict those militants and get those convictions, being challenged at the Supreme Court. But then a story appears in The Washington Post or Washington Times, about Justice Sonia Sotomayor, having an ANTIA or Black Lives Matter flag at her home. And she blames that on her husband and refuses to recuse herself from that case. Even though some of the militants whose case are at the Court, are ANTIFA or Black Lives Matters members. What would be Mitch McConnell’s reaction to that? I think it’s obvious that he would either ignore the story, or of course call for Justice Sotomayor to recuse herself from that case.

Hypocrisy in Washington, especially in Congress, is like the hot air, the heat and humidity in Washington in the late spring and summer that we get every year. You can’t run away from it. You almost have to accept it and tolerate it. Or find somewhere else to live.

But when one of the biggest hypocrites in all of Washington, one of the biggest cities in America and one of the biggest hypocrites in the entire Congress, (which is why I’m amazed that MAGA doesn’t love Mitch McConnell) tries to lecture the other side about what’s proper, you have to point it out. Just for no other reason that the American people get another look at who leads them in Washington.

Anderson Cooper Keeping MAGA Honest

CNN_ Anderson Cooper Breaks Down GOP ‘Backflips’ After Donald Trump VerdictSource:CNN anchor Anderson Cooper keeping them (meaning MAGA) honest.

Source:The New Democrat

“CNN’s Anderson Cooper breaks down the GOP response to former President Donald Trump’s hush money trial conviction. Cooper discusses with former Republican governor of Arkansas, Asa Hutchinson.”

From CNN

Just to correct one other thing that Donald Trump said: the only reason why he didn’t “lock her up” when talking about Hillary Clinton, is because he couldn’t get any of his attorney generals, or deputy attorney generals, and any of his U.S. attorney’s to do that for him. It’s one of the reasons why he fired his first Attorney General Jeff Sessions, along with Attorney General Sessions recusing himself from the Russia investigation in 2017.

Just to be clear: we’re not attacking the Republican Party as a whole, here at The New Democrat. I don’t think the so-called mainstream media makes that clear enough when they produce negative pieces about the Republican Party. We just go after MAGA, as well as establishment Republicans who believe their political careers are too valuable to risk offending MAGA.

And of course MAGA are registered Republicans. But they’re not Republicans ideologically. They don’t believe in the U.S. Constitution, rule of law, separations of powers, limited government, etc, they don’t believe in the hardcore Republican principles that had guided the Republican Party, really since going back to Dwight Eisenhower, if not further.

And MAGA takes any negative news about any of their members, regardless of the facts and evidence in the story, as an attack on their movement and people they call real Americans. MAGA is a political cult. Not a political party or movement.

Representative Eric Swalwell: ‘You Might Be In a Cult’

CSPAN_ _You Might Be in a Cult!_Source:CSPAN showing U.S. Representative Eric Swalwell’s (Democrat, California) House Judiciary Committee “You might be in a cult” speech.

Source:The New Democrat

“Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA): “My colleagues, none of this today that you are bringing makes sense; your inconsistencies, your hypocrisy, your sycophancy unless you are in a cult. And guys, I’m starting to think you’re in a cult.”

From CSPAN

“A clip of Representative Eric Swalwell accusing Republicans of being in a “cult” for supporting former President Donald Trump went viral on social media Tuesday afternoon.

Swalwell, a California Democrat and frequent Trump critic, delivered a monologue attacking Republicans during a House Judiciary Committee hearing in which members of Congress heard testimony from Attorney General Merrick Garland. Trump’s legal battles were a point of contention during the hearing, as Republicans have accused prosecutors of targeting the former president for political purposes amid his 2024 presidential campaign.

Last week, a New York City jury found Trump guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business documents to cover up an alleged hush money payment to adult film actor Stormy Daniels. The trial and verdict sparked outrage from conservatives.

On Tuesday, Swalwell equated their defense of Trump despite the verdict to members of a cult during the hearing.

“If you believe in states’ rights, except when a jury in that state convicts your nominee for president, you might be in a cult. If you claim you back the blue but want to defund the police when the police go to your nominee’s house to retrieve national security secrets, you might be in a cult,” he said.

He continued to say that Republicans who support Trump despite having “felony convictions that prevent him from going to” several countries “might be in a cult,” listing the countries Trump may face a travel ban due to his conviction.

A Republican lawmaker tried to interrupt this list, asking for his words to be struck from the record, but Swalwell continued speaking. Meanwhile, Representative Jim Jordan was slamming the gavel, warning that Swalwell’s time was up.”

From Newsweek

The New Democrat has been arguing this for at least a year now, if not all the way back to when Donald Trump became President of the United States. This MAGA movement, as they call themselves (that we call Mass Army of Gigantic Assholes) is America’s version of these Islamist’s movements in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Sudan, etc. They’re not a real political movements in the sense that they have deep, political principles, baed on evidence, facts, and law, or anything to do with the U.S. Constitution.

MAGA is simply about preserving Donald J. Trump’s freedom and ability to keep this nationalistic, corporatist, political movement alive…

But to go to Representative Swalwell’s point about states rights: You can’t credibly say you believe in states rights, when you want the Federal Government to interfere in how local jurisdictions enforce their own laws.

It would be like a person saying that their next door neighbor has the right to do anything that they want to with their own property, just as long as he or she doesn’t have to see it, or as long as they like it: “You can play whatever music you want over there. Just as long as I like it.”

And House Judiciary Republicans can strike down Representative Swalwell’s words all they want. But the text and video of this speech will always be around.

Donald J. Trump: Joe Biden’s Immigration Order

“The truth is that Biden’s Executive Order won’t STOP the invasion—it will make the invasion WORSE.”

From Donald J. Trump

“Former President Donald Trump’s campaign attacked President Joe Biden on Tuesday morning, saying the administration’s “radical” executive action toward migrant amnesty isn’t aimed at improving southern border security but intended to release illegal migrants quicker than usual.

Biden is expected to sign executive action Tuesday intended to curb the number of amnesty cases amid daily surges that overwhelm federal immigration authorities. Multiple reports indicate the administration will stop asylum requests at the United States-Mexico border if the average number of daily migrant encounters exceeds 2,500 between ports of entry. The southern border would reportedly reopen only when that number falls to 1,500 or below.

“Let’s be clear—Joe Biden’s executive order is for amnesty, not border security,” Trump campaign national press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a campaign message Tuesday morning. “After importing more than 15 million illegal aliens into our country and releasing countless criminal migrants who have brutally raped and murdered our citizens, this new order will facilitate the release of more illegals as quickly as possible with a smartphone app.

“The border invasion and migrant crime will not stop until Crooked Joe Biden is deported from the White House.”

From Newsweek

I just want to talk about Donald J. Trump’s official YouTube channel and this video first.

Is the Trump Campaign so broke and cheap, that they can’t afford a decent videographer and social media expert? As soon as you click to hear this video, it goes straight into a man whose almost yelling into the camera, whose eyes are almost half closed. Not even a waste of time, useless, boring commercial, that no one is interested in, before the video starts. Which is what you have to endure now to watch a lot of YouTube videos. But I guess with a convicted felon, you get to watch his videos for free.

I guess asking to see some facts and evidence for any of Donald Trump’s claims, would be like asking goldfish to go days without water. It’s just not in his nature. But the fact is there was a deal in the Senate, the only bipartisan deal and only deal at all in this Congress, to accomplish most of what Mr. Trump is saying needs to be done. But he told the Senate Republicans, perhaps even Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, if they support the bipartisan deal, he’ll campaign against them and raise money against them. Mr. Trump doesn’t want to solve this problem. He just wants to say that he did it and use the issue against his opponents.

And as far as Donald Trump calling the President of the United States “Crooked Joe”: Imagine being called Killer by serial murderer Ted Bundy or mass murderer Osama Bin Laden: “You get em, Killer” I think the word crooked loses a lot of meaning when it comes from a 34 time convicted felon, who owes the State of New York 500 million dollars, money that the self-proclaimed billionaire doesn’t have. But up until last week, Donald Trump has gotten way with being Don The Con. Not anymore
